Hi, my name is Ramic Laguitan.

Projects I'm proud of

AI: Become Human

Personalize.ai

A SaaS (Software as a Service) for email marketing that uses OpenAI to generate personalized first lines from the data passed in from each of the leads to be used for cold emailing.

You can manually upload a CSV file or connect to your own Google Drive to access your Google Sheets files to be used by the app. It will then create personalization for each lead and will go to a review page, where a user can manually review the personalization made by the AI before downloading the CSV file or appending the leads onto the chosen Google Sheet file.

I've also wrote code that allows OpenAI to be used inside of Google Sheets.

I generated the idea of this project along with a client for our final project at Lighthouse Labs. Along with two teammates, we implemented this idea to code in a week.

In "Like New" Condition...

Greglist

A clone of the website, Craigslist that allows a user to authenticate themselves by signing up and encrypting their details to make it more secure.

Once logged in, a user can view individual item listings, send an email to the poster, and set an item as a favorite. They can also search specific listings. As an admin user, they can create new item listings and add it onto the database.

This was one of the many project ideas given to us for our midterm at Lighthouse Labs. Along with two teammates, we implemented this idea to code in a week.

The Enemy Of Physical Books...

Electronic Reader Wordpress Theme

The design of this custom Wordpress theme is inspired by my Kindle e-reader. I used this theme to create my personal book review blog for those that I have finished and named it 'ramicreads'.

I designed this on Figma with the principle of mobile-first design in mind. I then replicated the usual tinted screen of e-readers that makes it easier on the eyes to read off of by making my background color an off-white color named #f5f5f3 and the text color a shade of black named #0a0a0c.

I have also added JavaScript functionality to this website by incorporating a real-time digital clock on the top left side, which tracks AM/PM hours. A dark mode button is also enabled on the header that when clicked, toggles the opposite color and background-color variable of the website. This is shown in the first two sections of this image. Another button for brightness that when clicked, applies a 50% brightness CSS property to the root of the website, shown in the remaining two sections of this image. Lastly, an airplane mode button that swicthes the wifi icon in the header to a plane icon just for fun.

You can turn on the e-reader's airplane mode by clicking this link.

Come Visit and Experience...

The District of Binondo Website

I based the color scheme of this website on those Chinese red envelopes that people usually give to their younger relatives on Chinese New Year when I was designing the wireframe of this website on Figma.

I utilized React's useState and useEffect hooks to implement a functionality to the website that changes the values of the props that are being passed into the components depending on the time of day.

You can see an example of that on the video playing at the home page and on the menu listed of the right side of the "food trip" tab's restaurants.

You can explore Binondo by clicking this link.

The Bunny Cafe Mock Website

Made with the three main colors of The Bunny Cafe's logo in mind, a shade of orange named #f06c53, a shade of black, and a shade of white named #fefefe.

I designed the hero page and the 'Meet The Buns' page in Figma on how their layouts would look like. The full-width background image with a heading and a subheading for their tagline, including the linklist of their social media accounts below.

To achieve what I had designed, I used Bootstrap to create the navbar and the cards for the bunny profiles but I did my own styling. I have used the fonts, Cabin for most of the text but used the font, Salt and Pepper for the brand name and the names of the bunnies, which I only integrated to the website upon asking my boss.

You can check out the buns by clicking this link.

When Doing It Through Email Is Hard...

Interview Scheduler

An app where you can schedule an interview with “mentors”. A project we made at Lighthouse Labs, focused on the React framework.

We learned how to modularly build an app using components and the React fundamentals. We also used testing frameworks like Storybook, Jest, and Cypress.
